SUMMER CAMP OVERVIEW

Welcome to ifleed summer camp 2021!

We are excited to offer a variety of limited 4 day (Monday-Thursday) weekly camps in Wausau this summer. This year, our camps are designed to enhance creativity and critical thinking skills with fun for children of ages 6-12.

ifleed offers hands on camps with engaging STEAM curriculums to teach challenging concepts in a fun and safe environment with their peers.

At ifleed, we encourage children to learn from their peers, provide an environment where its acceptable to make mistakes and learn and most importantly, to enjoy the process of learning.

We are offering some exciting topics this summer. Our camps are offered 4 days (Monday – Thursday) on the weeks stated below. Our classes are limited to 8 students per camp with mask requirement (as per CDC guideline).

Registration includes all supplies and one camp t-shirt. Students must bring their own snack and water due to Covid restrictions.

SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION

Our summer camp online registration will open on May 1, 2021. This year summer camps are designed for children ages 6-12.

To register:

1.   Go to our website www.ifleedinstitute.com. Click on Summer camp 2021 button at the top to check on schedules.

2.   Click on the register button below the schedule.

3.   Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with receipt of registration. An invoice will be sent to your email. You will have to pay within 7 days from the registration date.

SUMMER CAMP PRICING

 Our summer camp pricing is $199 per week. You will be sent and invoice and will be given 7 days to make the payment online.

 

3D printing

Do you want to see your design come to live? Then this is the class for you. Kids will be learning the basic part design and demonstrate how that design becomes a prototype using our 3D printer. Students will be able to view our 3D printers in action! The will have to innovate and design using constraints that will be part of their problem solving skill. Students will draw, create and bring to live their work in this class.

Avenger’s STEAM academy

How does Ironman’s helmet keep him safe from harm, yet remain comfortable to wear? Is it possible for a human being to spin a web capable of snaring evildoers just like Spiderman? What if Captain America needs some help retrieving his shield? We are going to devote this week to designing, constructing, and testing superhero projects. Fun? You bet! Come join us for this exciting week and you can dress as your superhero on the last day of this camp.

  

The LEGO movie

The LEGO® Movie puts engineering on the big screen in the hands of an assortment of plastic master builders and superheroes from various time periods and realms who come together to challenge Lord Business and the superior threat of Kragle. What they engineer in their quest to stop the Kragle will inspire students. We will be building the Tallest Tower, Gears-Go-Round and many more. Students will be designing their own Lego to build on the last day of the camp.

Are you a LEGO fan? Then join us and  bring home your designs at the end of each day.

 

Zipline Engineering

While your kids may be familiar with ziplines from playing on their favorite playground or grabbing some thrills at a local theme park, ziplines can teach kids a lot about designing and engineering.

Do ziplines have real life uses? We often think of them as something that let us catch a thrill, but they do have practical uses

Students will be designing ziplines individually, as a pair and as a class.  Our final day of class, students, will be designing an outdoor zipline in the 400 block and see if it works.

 

Robocop

Robotics is increasingly being considered as the fourth “R” of learning, “Reading, wRriting and aRithmatic” that modern-day students must understand to succeed in a highly competitive, technology-driven world. Robotics integrates all STEM fields in a way no other subject can cover. Robotics is the mother of all subjects. It integrates mechanical, electrical, electronics, control engineering, computer science, technology, math, and science.

You will discover breakthrough technologies in Robotics. Immerse yourself in the most forward-looking discipline of our time. Come make some robots with us to take home.
